A Father. Defined as a male parent, or an individual progenitor of human offspring, a man who exercises paternal care over other persons. Papa, 'pa, dad, father, daddy, tatay, itay, 'tay, appa. Edison Hoffman, a hero for me, a distinctive man who would love us for what we are.
He's my superman and batman combined. He raised us accordingly to what he planned. He didn't make us suffer like them, through their days. He was a 'Batang Ama' for my older brother, a partner for my mother and a hero for me. He faced several problems, but still, until today, he stands up like Iron man. Proud and contented on what he had, on what our family was. After the 'Romeo and Juliet' like love story of my parents, my father didn't took the option of letting my mom fail in taking her college degree, even though my older brother was born. He took the plane off to South Korea to look for a job that will support our living. It took plenty of work, faithfulness, trust, and other sacrifices for him to endure his stay alone in Korea. From what they have started, makes me think that he is, an awesome, loving, supportive, ONE OF A KIND, dad. I know that when time comes, he would do anything, everything, just to let us live a successful life, and wont let us experience what they had. What hardship they've been through.
Through this years, he was always there for me, for us. A hero indeed. We all have different father, daddy, papa, tatay, but we could never choose whom we imagined it to be. We should just love everything that they do for us, every decision they make and never start rebellion against them. For what they do is for our own sake. I love you papa! tatay! daddy!
